I had my windows cleaned last week. It’s the first time I’ve ever done that, and I’m amazed at the difference it makes. I keep looking up because something is larger, or brighter, and I’m not sure what. I think it’s just because there is more sunshine coming into our house.

It has been a frustrating house-hunting trip. None of our prospects has panned out. Yesterday, I drove halfway across the state and back, then spent a night with Steve in his bachelor pad in Cambridge, sleeping on a mattress on the floor while wearing a fleece pullover against the drafts.
